Les Miserables is a Broadway and West End musical that has captivated audiences for over four decades. Based on Victor Hugo's 1862 novel, this iconic production tells the poignant story of Jean Valjean's quest for redemption amidst the backdrop of 19th-century France. The musical features music by Claude-Michel Schönberg and lyrics by Alain Boublil, premiering in Paris in 1980 and later opening in London's West End in 1985 before making its mark on Broadway.
