Les Miserables BIO

Les Miserables is one of the longest-running and most celebrated musicals in theatre history, based on Victor Hugo's 1862 novel. With music by Claude-Michel Schönberg and lyrics by Alain Boublil, the show premiered in Paris in 1980 and opened in London's West End in 1985 before conquering Broadway. The current touring production, known as Les Miserables – The Touring Production (North American Tour 2023–2025), features an updated staging while honoring the beloved original design elements.

This production will be performed at Teatro Nuevo Apolo in Madrid on November 13, 2026. Audiences can expect a powerful experience as the musical weaves themes of justice, love, sacrifice, and revolution through its iconic songs such as "I Dreamed a Dream," "One Day More," and "Bring Him Home." The show has received outstanding reviews for its emotional power and updated visual design, with standing ovations reported nightly.

The production is notable for its extensive period-accurate costumes and innovative set design, including a revolving stage and large-scale projections of 19th-century Paris. This performance promises to be a life-changing theatrical experience for attendees.
